Why am I different?
Why Am I Different? is a gentle, empowering story from the More Roar Dinosaur universe that helps children celebrate their individuality, understand others, and realise that being “different” isn’t something to hide - it’s something to roar about!
Inspired by real life, the story follows Finley and his mum - characters based on author Emma Warren and her son, Finley. Together, they explore what it means to feel different and discover that those differences are exactly what make us special.
The story begins in black and white, reflecting how Finley feels when he doesn’t quite fit in. As he starts to recognise his strengths, kindness, and creativity, colour gradually fills each page - ending in a vibrant burst of full colour as he learns that being himself is something to be proud of.
