Story Experiences by More Roar Dinosaur

At More Roar Dinosaur, stories don’t stay on the page - they come to life.

Our Story Experiences are immersive, imaginative environments inspired by our original books and characters, designed to invite children to step inside the story, explore at their own pace, and become part of the world around them.

Each experience blends storytelling, role-play, creative activities, and sensory play to support curiosity, confidence, and connection - without pressure, noise, or overwhelm. Children can take part individually or together, making our Story Experiences suitable for birthdays, schools, libraries, community events, and drop-in sessions such as World Book Day.

Rather than being performance-led, our experiences are child-led. Children choose how they engage - whether that’s quietly creating, imaginatively role-playing, or collaborating with others. I’m always on hand to welcome, gently guide, and support each child through their experience, ensuring it ends with a sense of achievement and joy.

From calm corners to colourful role-play worlds, More Roar Dinosaur Story Experiences are designed to be inclusive, flexible, and full of heart - celebrating imagination, individuality, and the magic of stories shared.

Monster Café

An Immersive Story Experience

inspired by The Rainbow Food Monsters

Monster Café is intentionally child-led. Children move through the experience at their own pace, solving problems, making decisions, and shaping the café - and the story - as they go. In doing so, they are effectively writing their own version of the story, building confidence, creativity, and a sense of ownership along the way.

Inspired by the book’s focus on balanced nutrition, different food groups, and positive food exploration, Monster Café gently encourages children to think about food in a playful, non-pressured way. It has been thoughtfully designed to support fussy eaters and children with food aversions, allowing ideas around food to be explored creatively - without expectation or judgment.

During the experience, children take on roles within the café and create their own menu dishes using rainbow food plates, drawing from different food groups through imaginative play rather than real food. This helps children explore balance, variety, and choice in a way that feels safe, fun, and empowering.

The experience also supports:

  • Creative thinking and imaginative play

  • Gentle problem-solving and collaboration

  • Confidence through role-play and contribution

  • Learning through storytelling rather than instruction
